IT help for Wellington community groups
The Wellington e-rider IT Service ceased operating in October 2010.
From October 2007 to October 2010 Wellington ICT provided support and advice for community organisations so they could get the most out of their computers.
The e-riders shared their expertise in a way community groups could understand. We covered a wide range of computer issues and opportunities. The advice was 100% independent and offered in a friendly and approachable way.

The sorts of things we worked on included:
- Virus protection, firewalls, security patches, back-up and system upgrades
- Installing new software
- Routine maintenance, including network administration, installing broadband connections and wireless hubs
- Developing specifications for a computer system and assisting with the evaluation of proposals
