Getting a Great Website for Your Organisation

Websites are an important cornerstone of how every not-for-profit organisation communicates. 24 hours a day, a website is reaching out to members, funders and the public. It takes a lot of effort to make sure the a website can be visited by everyone, all the time.

This workshop will help people running a community group website get a grip on everything that is involved in having a great site. We'll touch on planning, working with designers through to keeping track of passwords, and measuring success.

This interactive workshop will help you: 

• Assemble all the ingredients of a quality non-profit website
• Choose a tool to edit your own content 
• Keep the website current  
• Find reliable information about running websites for not-for-profit audiences
• Use a simple self-guided health check to assess and improve your website's performance.  

This is designed for people involved in day-to-day maintenance of a website or are accidental website owners, which comes as part of being a manager, coordinator or comms person. Prior knowledge running an organisational website is an advantage. This is not a technical how-to workshop about the mechanics of designing a website.
